In a time when sustainability is more important than ever, Amcor Capsules is setting new standards in the eco-friendly production of wine closures. The international market leader has managed to reduce the CO₂ footprint of its STELVIN® aluminum screw caps by an impressive 35%.
Two innovations, one big step for the environment
This remarkable reduction was achieved through two key measures:
• Use of recycled aluminum: Up to 46% of the aluminum used now comes from recycling processes.
• Use of low-carbon primary aluminum: The remaining raw materials are chosen as environmentally friendly as possible.
These sustainable improvements apply to the entire STELVIN® range as well as all 30H60 screw caps produced by the company in Europe, North, and South America.

For wineries that want to pursue their sustainability goals particularly consistently, Amcor Capsules offers the STELVIN® INSIDE option. This innovative liner does without a PVDC coating and impresses with optimized oxygen permeability.
