For over 250 years, wine has been cultivated here, and the Gesellmann family understands the craft, continuously striving for the highest quality from the Deutschkreuz vineyards.
Albert Gesellmann took over the family business from his father Engelbert in 2000 and now runs it together with his wife Silvia and their children Francesca and Konstantin.
Experience Abroad Contributes to Success
Albert Gesellmann Senior encouraged his son Albert to gain experience abroad in his younger years. "You have to find new paths and be ready to go when the time comes," was his motto. This led Albert to South Africa and, in 1991, to Napa Valley, California, where he completed a winemaking internship.
Today, he is one of the winemakers who harvests only fully ripe grapes to achieve the full aroma in the wine. Read more
